by a Barcelona Photographer who believes in love in all its forms
Planning a proposal in a city like Barcelona comes with endless possibilities, but also with important choices. This recent surprise proposal between two amazing guys is a perfect example of how personalization can make all the difference.
Before the big day, we scheduled a video call to go over every detail. He knew he didn’t want something too touristy or crowded — “Not in front of the Cathedral,” he said. Instead, he was looking for something more intimate, authentic, and quiet.
So we designed the perfect route.
We started behind the Cathedral, where the Gothic Quarter reveals its more peaceful, hidden corners — charming alleys, old stone walls, and beautiful arches that whisper history. The proposal moment was filled with emotion and joy, and then we continued with a relaxed photo walk through the neighborhood, capturing their connection against the most iconic (and lesser-known) corners of the Gothic Quarter.
Barcelona offers such a rich variety of backdrops for proposals — from beaches to rooftops, but this one in the heart of the old town had something timeless about it.
If you’re planning a surprise proposal in Barcelona and want something personal, relaxed, and full of soul, I’d love to help you plan it.
Because love deserves to be documented beautifully — no matter who you are or who you love.
