The Bunkers in Barcelona are an incredible spot for proposals. Although the opening hours are limited, in summer, they open from 9 am to 7:30 pm, and in winter, from 9 am to 5:30 pm. It’s always a magical place with panoramic views of the entire city.

Some recommendations

First and foremost, if you’re thinking of going at sunset during the high season (summer, from June to September), let me tell you a few things. First, in Barcelona, the sunset occurs on the mountain side, not by the sea, so while the sunset is magical, don’t expect to see the sun setting into the sea! And most importantly, at sunset, you might encounter a lot of people. You can absolutely plan a proposal at sunset during the summer, and you’ll have a cheering audience, but keep in mind that there will be people in your photos alongside your partner.

If you prefer a more tranquil experience, my recommendation is to go in the morning. During the winter months, morning hours are not a problem; you can visit from 9 am until 1 pm because the sun is lower. In the summer, do not even think about going after 10 am because the light is very intense and not suitable for photos. The best photos can be captured with the softer morning light at 9 am.

Important note

I have a video where I explain everything you need to do to ensure your proposal at Bunkers is a success!

Here’s the latest one I did in late November with Rhyns, who contacted me a couple of weeks before, and we finalized all the details.
